The personal data we process, how long we keep it and why.

We hold your data in line with our Information Governance Policy for ten years in line with British College of Optometrists and The General Optical Council best practice for legitimate interest and the purposes of health care. You have the right to access your data subject to reasonable request, which includes rights over rectification, erasure and processing. Data is stored on paper records in monitored cabinets and computer systems, where all hardware and software is secure and password protected.

We share your data with registered health professionals and those under their supervision in the interests of health care. We may share data for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
